About Locra and our sources
Locra (locra.net) is an independent guide to live music in a few cities: big rooms, bars, DIY spaces and one-off shows that ticket sites miss. It is run by one person and supported by small ads.
How listings are found
Every listing comes from information that is already public. A program reads public posts and pages from:
- venues' and promoters' own websites, Instagram and Facebook pages;
- artists' public accounts, when a post announces a show;
- local event calendars and listing sites, used as leads and checked against other sources;
- ticketing pages linked from those posts;
- public map listings for venue names, addresses and types.
Software, including an AI model, reads those posts to pull out the date, time, lineup, venue and price, and to tag genres. It can misread a post, miss a change or a cancellation, or list a show twice.
Sources
Each event lists the sources it came from, with links, so you can check the original post. Flyers are shown as small thumbnails with a link to the post they came from; artists, venues and promoters keep all rights to them.
Accuracy
Listings come from public sources and may be wrong; confirm with the venue. Not affiliated with any venue or artist.
A show marked "DM for address" is held at a private or unlisted place: Locra shows its date and area only, never an address, venue name or flyer.
Corrections
